This site is devoted to my travels, photos, and musings. It is generally updating while on or shortly after a trip. I live in California and often visit friends and family in Michigan (and everywhere in between). In my life, I’ve been to 47 of 50 U.S. states (still need Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine). I’ve driven well more than 1/2 million miles, including across the U.S. at least 22 times. My current country count (not including the USA) is 19, and includes Aruba, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, France, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Panama, Russia, Singapore, and Switzerland.
My top travel goals are now South Africa (or any African country where I can do a safari), China, Peru (specifically Machu Picchu), Scotland, Thailand, Iceland and Spain. If there is sailing somewhere I travel, I do it. If there is canyoning/canyoneering/kloofing or scuba somewhere, I try to do that too.
