So in a complete juxtaposition to my late afternoon visit to the oldest and largest public affairs forum in the US, the Commonwealth Club, I spent the late night hours at the oldest continuously operated gothic/industrial dance club in the US (only 2nd in the world to a club in London). Its called Death Guild and its currently held every Monday at DNA Lounge in San Francisco.
From old men in suits who like to have educated conversations to guys who look like Edward Scissorhands and aren’t much into conversation at all. Its San Francisco. If you didn’t know, there’s something for everyone.
I have never been to a specifically goth club before, but was happy to join a friend at his favorite “happy” place. We danced til all hours and I had a great time people-watching. Love the effort put into their “look.” I would definitely go back and I’d recommend it if you’re open-minded and like to dance.
